REAMS was appointed by Edge Hill University to provide specialist asset management and life cycle planning services across their estate strategy along with the implementation of a new CAFM platform.
REAMS was tasked with leading an asset verification and building condition assessment programme to support the long-term asset management and maintenance planning of the campus. The site surveys were carried out by our in-house engineers and surveyors using our ELIAS data collection application.
Due to the unique nature, design and layout of the site, REAMS opted to utilise CAA approved innovative UAV technology to replace the traditional methods of surveying high level access items, such as roofs and gutters. The suite of high definition images created were reviewed and prioritised actions were rendered through the ELIAS platform.
Detailed site reports and data analytics were produced along with 5-year CAPEX budgets and immediate items for resolution on the estate were escalated and addressed as a priority.
Edge Hill University campus is based on a 160-acre (650,000 m2) campus in Ormskirk, West Lancashire and consists of more than 120 different buildings.
