REAMS was appointed by Skanska and Capital Hospitals Limited (the SPV) to provide asset management, site surveys and life cycle planning duties across the Royal London and St Bartholomew’s Hospitals in Central London – the largest healthcare PFI in the UK.
REAMS deployed technical M&E surveyors to deliver the programme, with the site surveys carried out using our ELIAS data collection application. The survey programme covered all areas of the facilities to inspect, assess and collect data on all of the installed M&E assets.
A project working group was set up between REAMS, and the SPV stakeholders to ensure that such a survey could be conducted whilst the hospital was operating and the impact on the public was minimised.
Detailed site reports were produced utilising REAMS’ in-house ELIAS reporting system. These included a 5-year CAPEX budget plan, imagery and items identified for immediate resolution that the client was able to attend to immediately.
The resulting asset data was uploaded to the clients CAFM platform to ensure accurate PPM plans could be created.
Barts Health NHS Trust operates five hospitals throughout the City of London and East London and provides district general hospital services for the London Boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest and Newham, and also provides specialist services to a wider region.
